The Biotrue CDMS manages multiple datatypes, including confocal microscopy, Tiff, DICOM and other image formats, movie files, gene and protein expression data, flow cytometry, office documents and PDF files. For certain datatypes, metadata such as reagents, instrument settings and other information related to data acquisition are parsed into a searchable database. For most images, thumbnails are created so you can quickly scan for files visually, instead of trying to find 'JDK20051225_GFP_YFP'.
